SO MANY THINGS

So I've been ignoring this blog in a rather shameful way. I would ocassionally remember that it actually existed, then I would be like "Well I could talk about this, but....maybe I'll do that later..."

And here we are a month later. Awesome.

So here's a recap of random stuff that happened. I wrote a very small amount for NaNo, and although I didn't make it to the word count (not even close) I still felt rather proud that I wrote anything at all.

I had a first experience which was awesome in every way. However, I will not mention this experience for fear that certain people *cough*parents*cough* will somehow find out and eviscerate me slowly. But rest assured, this experience was pretty frickin awesome, and fun was had by all, especially the pizza man who thought we were on crack.

Actually, my other news has to do with a pizza man too! And with Supernatural, but when does something on this blog NOT have to do with Supernatural? But in this case, my little heart feels so proud!

That's right guys, my little nerdy angel virgin Castiel watched porn for the first time. Porn featuring a pizza man and a babysitter. And he got a boner! Then he made out with a demon, a female character who actually doesn't suck (I KNOW, I was surprised too). WITH TONGUE. I AM SO PROUD. Then he got all flustered. I laughed so much I almost died. :DDDDDDDD

This episode rocked so hard I think I'm gonna do a post while I rewatch it, just to show you how frickin awesome it is. I think the world became a better place because of this episode. Especially with the inclusion of Horny Cas. Because you can never have enough of hot angels watching porn.

Hold me guys. I think I've gone insane.

This is because of two things. One, my drivers test is in a few weeks, and I AM SO NERVOUS. I think I'll be able to pass, BUT STILL. AGH.

"But Rachel," I can hear you saying, "that's not insanity. That's just an unbelievable amount of stress and pressure that will crush you with it's enormous weight of evil-ness and sadface-ness. It's different from insanity."

You know what I say to that? Screw you. You and your superior vocabulary! And your stupid techinal definitions. I don't care if that's not techinally what being insane is. SHUT UP. DON'T JUDGE ME.

But I do have a second thing, which is the insane part. It makes up for the lack of insanity in the first one, but doesn't really come with less pressure. A little less, maybe. I'll still feel like a failure if I can't do it. Then I'll look like this:

DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:

FOREVER. COMPLETE WITH 43 MOUTHS. Why such an odd number? I DON'T KNOW. STOP ASKING.

Anyhoo, onto actually saying what the second thing is. Have you ever heard of a thing called NaNoWriMo? It stands for National Novel Writing Month. Basically, participants write a novel between Nov 1 and 30. This is about 50 000 words or about 175 pages. Yeah. Guess who's being a doofus and actually gonna try to do this? Yeah, that's right, me. Now, I'm not really a fantastic writer, pretty average, but at least after this I should (hopefully) be able to say "I wrote a crap-load of words in a short amount of time, even if they sucked." Thats my goal. And if I'm still interested in the stupid thing later, then I can go back and fix it up. But this is gonna be really weird guys. I'm actually gonna try and DO something. I'm scared. D:

CASTIEL AND BATMAN ARE BFF. JUST BECAUSE.

GUYS. GUYS.
MY LIFE HAS MEANING AGAIN.
What I'm referring to is, of course, Supernatural. Specifically, episode 3 of season 6. Which is the one Castiel comes back in. AND HE IS AWESOME.
This episode killed me. It was hilarious and awesome, and then suddenly, it was utterly heartbreaking and sad. Then you're left with a feeling of "OMG WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?!?" at the end. AWESOME.
So pretty much Cas randomly shows up after the Winchesters call him, and he totally steals the show. He has the greatest lines! Such as this exhange:
CAS: (after Sam gets all huffy about Cas answering Dean and not him) Dean and I do share a profound bond...
*awkward silence where everyone glares at each other*
CAS: ( to Dean) I wasn't gonna mention it.
and HE USES AIR QUOTES. THIS IS SERIOUSLY ADORABLE.
And later in the episode Cas just breaks my heart. There's all these douchey angels who are fighting each other and crap, and one of them tries to kill Cas. Cas tries to reason with him, but can't, and has to kill him (in a seriously bad-ass move). And then Cas, in this broken and choked-up voice, says "Why won't any of you listen to me?"
AND I DIED. MY HEART IS IN LITTLE-BITTY PIECES. I LOVE THIS GUY SO MUCH. I DON'T CARE HOW CRAZY THAT IS. IN MY HAPPY WORLD, CAS AND BATMAN ARE BEST FRIENDS AND KICK ASS TOGETHER. YEAH.
Other than my near death over Cas and his awesome-ness, not much is going on. But I am reading possibly the greatest book ever written. Its called Death Troopers and its about zombie stormtroopers. ZOMBIE STORMTROOPERS. LIKE FROM STAR WARS. SO AWESOME.
I've gotten to the part where all the dean peeps are coming back to life, and our characters are trapped on a derelict Star Destroyer randomly floating through space with a fuckload of zombies. And its BRUTAL. One of the guys got bit, and the description was just -GUH. So realistic and gross. I love horror. AWESOME.
So my life is pretty much awesome all around. Except I still don't have my laptop. FUCK YOU TELUS AND YOUR STUPIDLY LONG WAITING PERIODS!!!

Supernatural is super addicting crack. BUT SO SATISFYING.

This post is going to be a huge rant about Supernatural, season 6, episode 2. I'll try not to give away huge amounts of plot, because that deserves its own post.
This episode killed me with its complete and utter awesomeness. Basically, there were these shapeshifters (who can shift to look like anyone) who were going out and sleeping with random women to make BEBES. This leads to hilarious-ness.
Sam goes to one of the families attacked, and finds one of BEBES there (this is before we know its a shifter). This goes kinda like this:
SAM: WTF is under the table? *looks*
BEBE: *adorable grin*
SAM: OOOOOOOOOH FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
And then, of course, he immediately calls Dean saying "I WILL DRIVE RIGHT UP TO YOUR DOOR AND GET YOU, THIS IS SO IMPORTANT, MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH!!!!!" So Dean meets him, and then sees the BEBE.
DEAN: WTF you call me Sam?
*sees BEBE*
DEAN: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
So then they have to go get supplies for the BEBE, including "some kind of paste that goes on his butt." Thx Dean.
This probably sent the fangirls wild (not the paste comment), because the supply shopping was Sam and Dean walking around in the baby section with the BEBE and looking supremely lost and confused. The Mpreg peeps (who creep the crap outta me) probably flipped.
Anyways, they end up stealing the stuff and booking it to a motel (long story), but only after everyone in the store looks at them, according to Sam, "like we're child abusers." This is while he waves awkwardly to everyone glaring at them.
At the motel, Dean finally manages to get the BEBE to sleep by humming "Smoke on the Water" to him. AWESOME. BTW, they are calling the BEBE Bobby John, which is the classic bullshit name. Then the BEBE explodes. Well, actually he shifts, which leads to the discover of his shapeshifter nature, and a couple stellar lines such as:
"Well, we cant' drop him off at an orphanage. I don't think they'll be happy when he's suddenly Asian!"
and
"Congratulations, its a boy...sometimes."
And then other stuff happens, and the plot thickens and what not. But I just had to talk about the absolute epicness of Sam and Dean running around with a BEBE with no fucking clue what to do with him. THIS IS WHY THIS SHOW ROCKS.
Also also also, the cars are sexy. Dean has the Impala, which now made its triumphant return, and Sam has this nice little Charger. OMG SUPERNATURAL HAS THE BEST CARS.
So excited for this weeks episode because CAS IS FINALLY IN IT. I'm probably gonna watch the episode 10 times over in one sitting. I'm also very excited to see where everything goes. Its very different watching the show without knowing pretty much everything that happens. I mean, I've known angels were gonna be in the show since season 1, but that addition was actually a huge surprise when it first happened. Actually watching a show unspoiled is so much more awesome. Also, way more scary. I was freaking out and LOVING IT. THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD TO ME. AHHH, CRACK.
Y'know what else is like crack? Tang. That creepy orange powder that you stir with water to make a generic citrus-like drink? Yeah, that. It sucks when its super weak, but if you put about one scoop of the powder in one cup of water, WHOOOOOOOEEEE!!! PARTY TIME!!! Its so sugary you practically gag and die with every swallow, but its SO GOOD. Thanks to Tasha The Amazing Page Friend for being a Tang crack ho with me. Such an amazing time. That huge can of stuff is gonna be gone in a month at most. AWESOME.

Of romance novels and other stuff

So I finally managed to finish the terrible romance novel Sliding Home. OH GOD. For the last about 80 pages I wanted to burn the book, stomp over the ashes, throw them in the ocean, and then stab my eyes out with an icepick. It was that bad. Its mainly about these two ass hats named Dayne and Kason. She randomly squats in his trailer and refuses to leave. They immediately want to have sex but hold off for about 200 pages, which was excruciating, filled with terribly written UST and random emphasis on meaningless things. Theres also this random side plot with the publicist and another ball player, which has absolutely no impact or meaning to the main story. I'm thinking the author just needed extra pages or something, because that storyline had absolutely no point.
It was, of course, rife with cliches. There was the "Have to date someone else while they actually want to date each other" trope, the "From different spectrums of society" trope, and the "They're forced into a ridiculous situation that makes them randomly realize their twue feewings". UGH.
It takes them 200 pages to fuck, which happened after Dayne burned her old marriage file, and I mean RIGHT AFTER. Because apparently ritual burning means you are over a failed relationship. Maybe she's a witch. But the best part is that in the last 60 pages, they randomly fall in love, and in the last 5 pages, they randomly get married. Kinda like an unimportant side note. "BTW, WE LOVE EACH OTHER, LETS GET MARRIED!!!!" Complete with rabid expressions, hysterical tears and unbearable scarring cute-ness. KILL ME NOW. Also, Kason has unbelievable stamina. FREAKIN CRAZY.
SIX TIMES.
IN ONE NIGHT.
NO FREAKIN WAY.
But that was that. Now onto killer unicorns. Or possibly zombie stormtroopers. Haven't decided yet, because both are equally awesome.
Anyway, the adventure of watching horror movies continues. I watched Nightmare on Elm Street, and it made no sense. I just sat there going "WTF?". Course, I may have missed something considering I was only have watching while chatting and whatnot. Though I don't really know how a dude with a gibbled face and Go-Go-Gadget arms is supposed to be scary. Maybe thats just me. I am going to watch The Blair Witch Project next, which I already know scares the shit out of me. AWESOME.
And BEST NEWS IN THE WORLD. SUPERNATURAL SEASON 6 HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED. Pardon me while I hyperventilate in the corner. I am now all caught up on everything, and, as I knew I would, I cried during the Season 5 finale. Now that I think of it, I cried a lot during Season 5. God, I am such a pansy. BUT OMG CASTIEL. YOU ARE SO TRAGIC AND HEARTBREAKING. YOU NEED SO MANY HUGS. DEAN AND SAM, HUG HIM. HUG HIM DAMMIT. I DON'T CARE IF IT LOOKS GAY. DO IT NOW.

I should not be posting right now...

I should not be awake right now. Especially after not sleeping all night.
That's right. I have been having a marathon of horror movies and Supernatural while binging on obscene amounts of sugar. I'm gonna be so sick tomorrow (today, WTF). Staying up late isn't exactly weird for me, but still being awake when I can see the sun beginning to rise, while still chowing down on Fudge-Os is. No wonder I'm fat. :D
Anyway, I've watched a crap load of Supernatural (catching up on season 5 because OMFG SEASON 6 STARTS TODAY!!!!!!), and about four horror movies. I started the evening off with Poltergeist, then Psycho and finished with 28 Days Later. Wait, that doesn't add up to four. Oh, I tried to watch The Call of Cthulhu (ultimate nerdgasm), but the disk didn't work!!!! SADFACE FOREVER!!!!!!!
Now I'm gonna tell you what I thought of the movies, because I know thats what you want to read. Hells yeah. Also OM NOM friend, now you never have to watch these movies because you would probably die.

Poltergeist (am I spelling that right?)
This movie was pretty good. I enjoyed it a lot, although I was doing a constant commentary that went kinda like "Thats not what poltergeists look like, they don't do that, USE THE ROCK SALT!!!!" Yes, I critique horror movies using things from Supernatural. Oh god.
It was really good movie though. I started kinda slow, kinda like Alien, but it quickly got into evil trees and vortexes in closets. I also now finally know where the "DON'T GO INTO THE LIGHT!!!!" comes from. Yes, I didn't know beforehand. I had an epiphany halfway through, after they had said it about a dozen times. There was also a fat lady psychic or something, who was kinda like "STFU POLTERGEIST. IMMA PWN UR ASS". There was also a giant glowing spider. And random corpses popping up everywhere. And did I mention the evil tree that tried to eat a kid? I was, of course, more freaked out about the evil looking clown. And geeking out over the kid's awesome Star Wars memorabilia. Yeah.

Psycho
This movie was SO BORING. It took about 40 minutes for the shower scene to roll around. AND NOTHING HAPPENS BEFORE THEN. GOD. I pretty much fell asleep and woke up whenever the scary music got really loud. There's a couple hours of my life I'll never get back. I guess I'm not a classics kinda person. I'll probably give Vertigo a miss.

28 Days Later
This movie was...weird. I starts off with evil monkeys who have anger management issues and enjoy biting peeps. Then 28 days pass. Then the screen comes back with a completely nude Cillian Murphy. Who doesn't put pants on for about 5 minutes. There is no convenient placement of items either. I didn't want to see that. Ever.
Anyways, this dude runs around and meets some other peeps, and runs away from evil zombie things who puke on you. Or eat you. Or both. I also seem to prefer the dark, but run really fricking fast. So its like an amalgamation of zombies, vampires and ninjas. Yeah.
But there was one thing that made me love this movie so much. When the main character (the naked dude, though he's not naked anymore by this point) walks into a church. As the climbs the stairs, the camera pans up to see writing on the wall (lol, biblical reference). The writing says, in huge letters: REPENT. THE END IS EXTREMELY FUCKING NIGH. ROFL.

BTW, I finished the first season of 24, and I was right. I cried when the evil assassin brothers died. Crap.
Also also also I am about halfway through Sliding Home (the terrible romance novel). It is lulzy. The main woman keeps having tinglings in her "V-zone". LOL. And the dude nearly raped her against the fridge, and apparently after that they bonded. WTF? They've pretty much settled into a relationship by this point, just without the sex. I'm still holding out for a sex scene. There are also these other random characters who were introduced about page 80, but somehow have a major storyline. Again WTF? Although if I started complaining about the writing I would never stop. BUT THATS NOT THE POINT OF THIS!!!! WE ARE DOING THIS FOR THE LULZ. LULZ ARE FANTASTIC.
I think I'm gonna go to bed now. The sun is officially rising.

ETA: FUCK SPELLING MISTAKES. FROM NOW ON, THIS IS A SPELLING AND GRAMMAR FREE ZONE. SCREW THAT SHIT.

SO MUCH CRAP

This is what happens when I don't blog in a really long time. Awesome things pile up. This is probably going to be a long post. Oh dear.
Well first, Operation Moving All Our Shit was a success. Kinda. I still have to unpack my room. God, I hate moving. DDDDDDDDDDDDD:
Second, read the most awesome tie-in novel EVAH. That other one I told you about? Does not even compare. This one was fantastic. Again Supernatural, and Judas was in it. And he and Cas were old friends. AWESOME. I am now going to read another book by him. About ZOMBIE STORMTROOPERS. HELL YES.
Speaking of books, a few of my page friends and I have started a book club. The object of this book club is to read the most terrible books known to man. We have three picked out so far. The first is called Rampant. The summary is as follows:

Forget everything you ever knew about unicorns...
Real unicorns are venomous, man-eating monsters with huge fangs and razor-sharp horns. Fortunately, they've been extinct for a hundred and fifty years.
Or not.
Astrid had always scoffed at her eccentric mother's stories about killer unicorns. But when one of the monsters attacks her boyfriend—thereby ruining any chance of him taking her to the prom—Astrid finds herself headed to Rome to train as a unicorn hunter at the ancient cloisters the hunters have used for centuries.
However, at the cloisters all is not what it seems. Outside, the unicorns wait to attack. And within, Astrid faces other, unexpected threats: from the crumbling, bone-covered walls that vibrate with a terrible power to the hidden agendas of her fellow hunters to—perhaps most dangerously of all—her growing attraction to a handsome art student ... an attraction that could jeopardize everything.

Awesome right? I have a sneaking suspicion that the art student is actually an unicorn in disguise.

The second is called Sliding Home. Its a romance novel about a baseball player. Here is the summary:

The left fielder for the Richmond Rogues had returned from six weeks of spring training in Florida to find someone had moved into his mobile home. That person was presently in his shower. And no matter how sexy the squatter might be, Kason wanted her out.
He had his trusty dobie, Cimarron; he didn't need anyone else in his life. Not even a stubborn tomboy who rouses all kinds of wild reactions in him, then soothed his soul with peace offerings of macaroni and cheese and rainbow Jell-O. The bad boy of baseball was ready to play hardball if need be, but with Dayne Sheridan firmly planted between his sheets, he found himself...Sliding Home.

That last sentence...words cannot express. ROFL. That sentence was why we picked this book. Hell yes.

The third book is Argentinian Playboy, Unexpected Love-Child. The title alone makes it COMPLETELY worth it. The summary:

Billionaire polo player Diego Ortega has seen the world and sampled many of its women. Sweet beauty Rachel Summers has sated his appetite--so why does he find his body yearning for more? Rachel knows she is not Diego's type--less glamorous supermodel, more wholesome country girl. But that doesn't mean she has to wear her heart on her sleeve. She kept her virginity a secret before he bedded her.... But now she "has" to tell Diego she's carrying his baby!

Also, why the hell is "has" in quotation marks?I am so excited to read these books, as they will be endlessly amusing and AWESOME. I laughing already.

And possibly the most awesome thing ever: When I went out onto my porch the other night, I find this:

Yes, that is a bat. I have named him Batface, and have decided this is his home now. Sadly, he hasn't come back yet, possibly because I blinded him with the flash on my camera. Oooops?

Anyways, that is my life right now, between working an obscene amount and listening to Led Zeppelin. And marathoning season 1 of 24. Which is epic. I am terribly fond of these two brothers, who are evil assassins, out for revenge. I always like them, even when they are shooting people in the face. I think there's something seriously wrong with me.

ETA: Just did a spellcheck, and all the emoticon things I do came up as spelled wrong. LOL. BTW, what the hell does ETA mean? Whenever I see it I think Estimated Time of Arrival. Maybe I'll just stick with that.

Things that make me happy

New job
I have my first new shift at the Customer Service job tomorrow. I AM SO NERVOUS. I have this terrible feeling in my gut that I am going to screw up really badly, and then I'm going to get fired. ARGH! But I'm also really excited because it's a new job, and I think it'll be really fun (and because of the great wage, shut up thats not my only reason).

Batman
Batman always makes me happy. He is my happy place. But today I was even more happy, because I found one of those soup thermos things with a Batman design on it. AWESOME! Unfortunately, it was too expensive so I didn't get it. D: But the fact that is exists is pretty damn sweet.

Small Children
Now this might just be the womanly hormones talking, but stacking in the Kids section is extremely difficult sometimes. Not because of the amount of material (though there was a crap load last shift), but because of the extremely adorable children running around. A couple shifts ago, there was the one little girl there, and our conversation went something like this:
GIRL: *runs up* I'm wearing flip-flops! *shows them off*
ME: :D :D :D
GIRL: They're Dora!
ME: :D :D :D :D
And later, after she had jumped around on the letters in the carpet, while saying the alphabet:
GIRL: What are you doing?
ME: I'm stacking books. What are you doing?
GIRL: I'm looking for Berenstain Bear books.
ME: I CAN HELP YOU FIND THOSE!!!
GIRL: :D *runs up to mom* She's gonna help me find Berenstain Bear books!
ME: :D :D :D *finds books*
GIRL: *shows them to mom* SHE FOUND ME BERESTAIN BOOKS!
ME: :D :D :D :D :D :D
SO CUTE! Made my day there. Aw yeah.

Tie-in Novels
Usually, tie-in novels would never make a "Things that make me happy list", because they usually suck. BALLS. But I have happened across ones which actually don't suck: the Supernatural ones. I'm not just saying this because I love Supernatural in an extremely obsessive and stalker-ish way, but because they actually don't suck. In the last one I read, there were two completely awesome things. One, Sam said "mad skillz", complete with letter z. AWESOME. Two, Dean quoted Monty Python. When they found a mass grave full of bones, Dean said "Look at the bones!" in a corny British accent. I LOVE THESE FICTIONAL MEN SO MUCH. OMG ITS KINDA CREEPY.

Misha Collins
I am convinced the world cannot actually contain this much awesome. It is not possible that this man is actually real. I'm considering the possibility that he is an alien. From the planet of Completely and Utterly Awesome. Not only is he a fantastic actor, he is also incredibly hilarious, and uses his popularity (which is immense for a TV actor who mainly has bit parts) to raise money for good causes, such as Haiti and the floods in Pakistan. He has a website called The Random Act (which may be crashed again because of the amount of pledges they are getting for Misha's run) and he and some of the people from the site go around and give out flowers to people on the street, or in some cases, umbrellas. He just likes to brighten people's day. On Sept. 5, he is running a marathon, and for every mile he runs, he asks people to pledge some money, whether it be a penny or a dollar. He is apparently going to twit his location on the race so you can watch him die. TRUFAX. And is possibly the only person I would ever go onto twitter for. Now I read his twitter all the time, so I can see if he is kissing Sarah Palin or being felt up by random perverts on the plane. You should so check it out!  There are some truly fantastic and messed-up pictures of the guys, like this one and this one and this one and this one and this one. He claims he doesn't wear underwear, except for the ones fans give him, and he made a terrible original Syfy movie called Stonehenge Apocalypse. In it, his catchphrase is "It was a robot head." YES. WANT TO SEE SO BAD.
I love this man so much!!!

Epic Supernatural Rewatch AKA I have no life

So it is finally time (I waited all of a day) to kick off my Epic Supernatural Rewatch of Awesomeness, which I am starting with Season 4. From there, I will probably go back to the beginning, go through seasons 2 and 3, then season 5, hopefully all in time to blog about season 6. Aw yeah. :D

Necessary backstory, because I fail at this kind of thing:
Ok, where to start. Supernatural is about two dudes, Sam and Dean Winchester. They run around shooting evil things in the face. They have been hunting a demon who killed their mom when they were young. You discover (in Season 2 I think) that when the demon (named Azazel) killed their mom, he also forced baby Sammy to drink some of his demon. This demon blood now allows Sam to do certain things, like have premonitions or move things telepathically, although up to the end of Season 3, Sam kinda only uses these powers to fail at life.
So at the end of Season 2, Azazel got his little army of demon blood kids together (Sam wasn't the only one) and had a macho/gladiator showdown to find the best one. Dean wasn't with Sam by this point, because Sam was kidnapped on his way to get pie (what a dick move! What kind of person kidnaps someone on their way to get pie? That's just wrong.). Anyways, it all comes down to Sam and this dude named Jake, who has super-strength. Sam and Jake fight, and Sam wins. He goes to kill Jake, but decides not to, because Sam is a lovely person who doesn't shoot other people in the face, even if they want to shoot him in the face. Then Dean shows up. They go to have a lovely teary reunion, which they will later deny happen (because they are too manly for tears, even though they cry almost every single episode), when Jake gets up and decides to be a douche. He stabs Sam in the back, and kills him, before running off. Sam dies, and Dean is very sad. D:
So Dean goes to a crossroad, and makes a deal with a demon (not Azazel, a different one) to bring Sam back to life. In exchange, Dean only has one more year on Earth, before he dies (killed by these nasty little buggers called Hellhounds) and his soul goes to hell to be tortured for all eternity. Not fun. But Dean makes the deal anyway, because he has extremely low self-esteem and co-dependency issues up the wazoo (so not kidding here).
Season 3 passes in such a way. Sam is running around trying to save Dean from Hell while Dean's year runs out. Azazel is finally dead, and another demon has entered the picture, except this one apparently wants to help. Her name is Ruby, and she wants Sam to use his powers, which Dean doesn't want him to do. Dean also wants to shoot Ruby in the face.
Another demon is also in the picture, called Lilith. She's a really old demon, and very powerful, and seems to be in charge of all the demons that got out of Hell at the end of Season 2. She is also the one who holds the contract of Dean's deal, so Sam wants to go and shoot her in the face.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work. Lilith pwns everyone, and Dean's deal comes due. Dean dies, and goes to Hell.
This is how Season 3 ends, with Dean screaming for Sam while being eviscerated in Hell. Oh show, you slay me.
So backstory is finally over. Now we can start with the episode! Hurrah!!! :D

So the first episode is Season 4 Episode 1: Lazarus Rising, or the one in which Dean gets out of hell and angels are frickin badass.

Dean gets out of Hell. Big surprise right? He wakes up in his coffin, and digs himself out, and takes a look around at the flattened scenery around him. Dean = O.o
Dean's first actions after getting out of Hell: breaking and entering, stealing, grand theft auto, nearly getting killed by Bobby (a friend) and Sam, and hitting on a hot chick, who then propositions him (and Sam, lol). Oh Dean, never change.
Anyways, so Dean his being followed by something that likes to turn the TV on, mess with the radio, and blow out windows, while burning out the eyes of psychics who try and look at it. Also, this dude likes burning hand prints on people he takes out of Hell. Happy fun times.
So Dean decides to go off with Bobby and summon the thing, even though they have no idea what the hell they're dealing with.
BOBBY: This is a bad idea.
DEAN: Yeah, I couldn't agree more, but what other choice do we have?
BOBBY: We could choose life.
Lol.
Meanwhile Sam is being bad. He goes off with new Ruby, who is in a new body, and who it is implied Sam is sleeping with, to kill demons...with his MIND. Yes, Sam is a frickin Jedi who makes people vomit up demons. Awesome. That won't come back to bite him in the ass. No way.
Dean and Bobby set up shop in a barn near where Dean was buried and brought back. Then they wait...and wait...and wait.
Finally, stuff happens. The roof starts flapping all over the place, and the barn doors burst open, revealing...John Constantine.

No, not really.

The door bursts open revealing some small dude, wearing an oversized pedo trench coat, and a suit which practically falls off him. He casually walks into the barn, ignoring the lights blowing up in front of him and Dean and Bobby shooting him in the chest. Dean stabs him with the blade which supposedly kills everything, and the dude just pulls it back out, without even blinking. Then he knocks out Bobby and says that he has to talk to Dean...alone. Bow chika bow bow! Not really. But some fangirls wish.
This is Castiel, the being that pulled Dean out of Hell. He is also apparently an Angel of the Lord. I am completely in love with this character. I seriously had to pause this scene about 20 times just so I could squee over absolutely ever expression he made and everything he said. Not kidding. I think I've hit an all new low with this. Maybe I should seek help.
Anyway, Castiel completely bitchslaps Dean's doubts about everything (which is fricking awesome) and then says that God has work for Dean (which is fricking awesome).

For me, this scene went kinda like this:
CASTIEL: *walks into barn, while getting shot and not caring*
ME: Damn, this guy is badass.
CASTIEL: I'm the one who gripped you tight and raised you from Perdition.
ME: THIS GUYS IS AMAZING, HOW DOES HE MAKE A RIDICULOUS LINE LIKE THAT WORK?!? AND SOUND BADASS?!?
CASTIEL: *looks confused and hurt that Dean doesn't believe him*
ME: OMG THIS GUY IS ATTRACTIVE.
CASTIEL: *while staring soulfully* (to Dean) You don't believe you deserve to be saved.
ME: OMG HE UNDERSTANDS DEAN'S ISSUES. WTF THIS IS AWESOME WHO IS THIS GUY?!?!
CASTIEL: I'm an Angel of the Lord. *shows off pretty wings*
ME: ZOOOOOOOOMGGGGGGG
:D :D :D :D :D
*finishes scene, hyperventilates*
Wait...
*feels vaguely dirty about thinking the Angel is hot.*
Meh, this show is already taking blasphemy to a whole new level, might as well just join in.

And that is basically episode one. Episode two will coming up momentarily (after I actually watch the thing...yes...and I'm not just watching for the Castiel scenes, shut up.

Various Stuff of Awesomeness

Today we had the staff opening at the new Branch, which was epic fun times. We milled around, ate things on sticks, and all the adults watched the kids movie they had going while the kids went around and did other stuff. Then we had random speeches from random people, that went kinda like this:
DIRECTOR DUDE OF EVERYTHING: Thx for making a library. We're awesome.
US: *random applause*
RANDOM OLD BOARD PERSON: Dudes, we made a library.
US: *random applause*
ME: Who is this person? I want more meat-on-a-stick.
Then we got to see the library. I gave my dad the grand tour (which he didn't seem very interested in), before everyone started to go home. Then the amazing happened.
WE WERE ALLOWED TO TAKE STUFF WITH US.

NEW STUFF.

AWESOME STUFF.

I think I had a small aneurysm when I found out, followed quickly by the crushing despair of realizing I had forgotten my library card. But I was offered hope by the kindly Elisabeth, the Uber Librarian of Awesomeness.

ELISABETH: You can enter in your library ID number on your card into the checkout. Do you know it?
ME: :D :D :D :D

So that is what I did. I now have the fourth season of Supernatural, a season of The Closer (for my mommy) and Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. I am still having fits of joy over this, which makes me realize how lame my life is. I think I am going to marathon Supernatural Season 4 this week, and then post episode play-by-plays. Because I start commenting on a series halfway through it. I'm just classy like that. Also, I may do a meme, which is also extremely classy. Oh, yeah, I'm the definition of classy-ness.

In other news, I finally saw Inception yesterday.
ME: *sits down, clutching bag and saying OMG over and over under my breath*
MOVIE: I AM THE MOST AWESOME THING SINCE EVER. IF TWO AWESOME THINGS GOT TOGETHER, HAD AN AWESOME ROMANCE, HAD AWESOME SEX, AND HAD AN AWESOME LOVE-CHILD-MOVIE, I WOULD BE THAT AWESOME LOVE-CHILD-MOVIE.
ME: *dies of awesome*
So yeah. Everything is pretty damn awesome.

BEST SHIFT EVAH!!!!

So I had possibly the greatest shift known to mankind a couple of days ago. But first, some back story.

In my town I work at the public library. We are opening a new branch on the other side of town (which is really fun, but lots of work). Speaking of, I got an email saying we still 16,000 more materials to shelve there. D:

Anyway, the building is still being worked on by the construction guys, and one the things that they apparently have to do (although I think its just all the sadists in the group having their fun), they have to test the fire alarm in the building. For 30 MINUTES. A half an hour with the most annoying, aggravating ringing sound you can imagine. And we were supposed to shelve during this. So me and the other pages (a fancy name for peeps who put crap on shelves) tried to work, but after about ten minutes we said “Screw it” and retreated to outside the building (which wasn’t much better, and to get outside we had to pass through the Ringing Gauntlet of Doom, where the volume of the fire alarm was magnified by a factor of 10 x 5 gazillion).

So we got outside, and a couple of pages hid in their cars, until a couple of the other peeps (these are not the peeps that put stuff on shelves, they are the peeps who unpack boxes and check books. Don’t get confused!) came out of the building. We stood there for about 30 seconds, before we had this exchange:

ALL: *cringing from the pain of the fire alarm*
PAIGE THE LIBRARIAN, NOT THE PAGE: LET’S GO TO DAIRY QUEEN!!!!!
US: :D :D :D :D

So all five of us piled into Paige’s car (which is small) and we swooped around all the Terrible Traffic Circle of Darkness, until we got to Dairy Queen. As we were about to go into it and get ice cream, it began to pour, like hard core precipitation man. So we ran like hell into Dairy Queen, getting soaked in the process, got our ice cream, and sat around eating it while thunder boomed and lightning flashed. Then, the rain stopped, so we went back.

We arrived in the parking lot, and the page in the front seat opened the door, and what should we hear? The terrible ringing, still going!!!! In unison, we all groan and get out of the car, looking like this. We start walking toward the building, dragging our feet, our depression fighting with our ice cream high. Then the alarm blessedly stopped. We all yelled for joy, right there in the parking lot.

FIRE ALARM: I’M GONNA FINALLY STOP BEING A DOUCHE AND STOP RINGING.
US: YAY!!!!!!! XD
CONSTRUCTION DUDES: O.o

So then we all skipped to the building, and the world was full of rainbows and unicorns. Elisabeth, The Uber Librarian of Awesomeness met us at the door.

ELISABETH THE UBER LIBRARIAN OF AWESOMENESS: Guess what guys? I BROUGHT ICE CREAM SANDWICHES FROM THE MAIN BRANCH!!!!
US: LOL!!! :D :D :D :D :D

WHY HALLO THAR

This is my very first official post of my very first official blog. Hello! What is your name? What is your quest? What is your favourite colour?
All Monty Python homages aside (and if you didn't get that, this blog is probably not for you), maybe I should introduce myself.
I am a noob in the blogger world. I have an unhealthy fixation on random nerdy and geeky things, including comic books and TV shows, and everything in between. I live on a small llama farm in the German countryside, where I indulge in my internet addiction and let the poor llamas fend for themselves. Wondering what I look like? Here's a picture of me on a family vacation to the beaches of Southern America. That's me in the front.
Anyway, about the blog. This thing will be used to vent my rants about the things in the title. I will be blogging episode play-by-plays of Supernatural and NCIS (the latter for my OM NOM friend in Thailand) and movie reviews for random films that I see. I am also contemplating relieving my Misha Collins obsession by way of the blog, and posting about everything that I see him in (which will be a lot, as I plan on watching every single movie and show he is in, no matter how terrible). Expect randomness and things which make little, if any, sense. Onward! :D
